About the role

COLAS HRVATSKA is looking for an Occupational Safety Specialist to ensure compliance with Croatian safety, fire protection, and environmental regulations. The role supports the company's construction and infrastructure projects by creating a safe work environment for all employees.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor occupational safety measures in line with legal requirements and company needs.
• Supervise fire‑protection and environmental safeguards, maintaining all related documentation and records.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and revision of risk assessments, evacuation and rescue plans, and other safety documents.
• Report, analyse, and follow up on work‑related injuries, occupational diseases, and accidents.
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies, inspections, authorized personnel, and occupational health services.
• Develop and deliver training programs on safe work practices, fire safety, and environmental protection.
• Ensure continuous monitoring of legislative changes and their practical application.

Required profile

• University degree in Occupational Safety (VŠS/VSS).
• Passed professional exam in occupational safety (general and specific parts).
• Preferably passed fire‑protection exam.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience.
• Proficient in spoken and written English.
• Valid category B driving licence.

Required skills

• Proficient use of MS Office suite.
