About the role

The Data Protection Specialist will provide legal support to business units and corporate management, ensuring that decisions are legally sound while safeguarding personal data in line with GDPR.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal support to business units and corporate management, ensuring decisions are legally sound.
• Monitor regulatory changes relevant to the retail business and prepare reports for strategic planning.
• Draft internal policies and guidelines on privacy and GDPR compliance.
• Act as liaison with state authorities and business partners in official communications.
• Develop, implement and monitor internal compliance policies and participate in key company projects.
• Support transparency by handling irregularity reports and providing legal advice for their resolution.

Required profile

• Law degree (Faculty of Law, VSS) with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Advanced spoken and written German and/or English.
• Strong interest in legal challenges within a dynamic retail environment.
• Analytical, proactive approach and excellent communication skills.
• High sense of responsibility, performance‑oriented and eager to learn continuously.
