About the role

SDMS d.o.o., a construction company operating in Croatia and Germany, is looking for a specialist who will be at the forefront of every project. The role involves precise cost calculation, preparing competitive offers and negotiating contracts with subcontractors, directly influencing project profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Independently prepare tender offers.
• Study and analyse tender documentation, including project specifications and bill of quantities.
• Verify consistency between project documentation and cost estimates.
• Visit project sites before drafting offers.
• Collect, analyse and process subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Perform price analysis based on received bids and material costs.
• Create detailed calculations for construction‑craft works (excavation, demolition, masonry, reinforced‑concrete, finishing).
• Calculate and standardise work items.
• Monitor offer preparation deadlines and ensure completeness of documentation.
• Negotiate and conclude contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Propose contract agreements to the head of the calculation department.
• Coordinate with the site manager on subcontractor performance and arrange replacements when quality or deadlines are not met.

Required profile

• Completed degree in civil engineering or a related technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in cost estimation, tender preparation or contract negotiation within construction.
• Knowledge of cost‑estimate and contract documentation and calculation processes.
• Understanding of construction‑craft execution technologies.
• Ability to read project, technical documentation and bill of quantities.
• Advanced proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Analytical mindset, precision and strong numerical skills.
• Developed negotiation and communication abilities.
