About the role

We are looking for an experienced Sous‑chef to join the dynamic team at Gostionica Ficlek in Zagreb. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in maintaining high culinary standards from preparation to service, supporting the Head Chef and leading the kitchen crew.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the kitchen team during shifts, mentor junior staff, and ensure consistent quality of every plate.
• Prepare ingredients and dishes according to recipes and standards, overseeing the entire cooking process.
• Maintain hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards, including HACCP compliance.
• Manage inventory, conduct regular stock checks, and provide accurate inventory reports.
• Participate in menu development and use digital tools for communication and organization.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar supervisory kitchen role.
• Strong motivation, responsibility, and dedication to the job.
• Ability to work well in a team and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Required skills

• Traditional cooking techniques.
