Senior Product Engineer - Simulations

About the role

Yazaki Europe Limited is seeking a Senior Product Engineer specialized in simulations to support its automotive wire‑harness and electrical systems development in Zagreb. The role involves performing advanced numerical analyses, guiding junior engineers, and contributing to continuous improvement of simulation processes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct numerical simulations (Ansys, Abaqus, Adams, Moldflow) based on designers’ requests.
• Track simulation execution against project plans and report progress.
• Mentor and oversee junior team members in their simulation tasks.
• Develop and implement new simulation methods and technologies as needed.
• Provide feedback and design improvement recommendations to design engineers.
• Prepare and present simulation results to responsible design engineers.
• Perform CT scanning of components and interpret the data.

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in CAE/FEA and related fields.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• FEA software knowledge (Ansys, Abaqus, Adams, Moldflow).
• CT scanner operation.
• CAD tools (Catia v5, SolidWorks).
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
