Senior Procurement Manager - Hydraulics and Powertrain

About the role

Jungheinrich, with over 30 years of experience in software and digital products for intralogistics, is looking for a Senior Procurement Manager in Zagreb. The role covers strategic purchasing for hydraulics and powertrain, working closely with development, quality, production and supply chain teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, assess and continuously monitor the global procurement market, identifying savings and optimization opportunities
• Develop, implement and improve commodity group and supplier strategies, as well as supply chain security
• Negotiate national and international prices, contracts and framework agreements
• Manage and enforce claim management processes with international suppliers
• Prepare award recommendations based on TCO, cost, risk and make-or-buy analyses
• Collaborate with development, quality, production and supply chain in cross-functional teams

Required profile

• Degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, business administration or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in strategic purchasing within a manufacturing company
• In-depth technical understanding of hydraulic or powertrain components
• Experience in commodity group management, international supplier management and sustainable procurement strategies
• Knowledge of contract law and practical experience in claim management
• Strong analytical, structured and results-oriented approach, with negotiation-level English and willingness to travel internationally
