Senior Mechanical Engineer – Product Development

About the role

Vertiv Croatia is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the conceptual and detailed design of mechanical products. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to ensure designs meet international, national and company standards while supporting manufacturing and site deployment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop product concepts and detailed mechanical designs based on requirements and standards.
• Create mechanical documentation including strength analyses, part and assembly drawings, detail drawings, material submittals and marketing materials.
• Prepare workshop documentation, verify subcontractor deliverables and specify bill of materials, certificates and delivery dates.
• Support suppliers during bidding, evaluate offers and provide technical assistance during production and assembly.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, site engineering, quality control and commissioning teams to resolve issues and ensure successful installation.
• Perform calculations for optimal component selection, structural optimisation and evaluate new materials and technologies.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant technical experience.
• Strong independent work ethic, attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Inventor and MS Office.
• Experience with 3D modelling software such as SolidWorks, CREO or CATIA (optional but preferred).
• Ability to perform mechanical strength analysis and create detailed engineering documentation.
