Senior Data Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Data Engineer at Solflare you will design, build and optimise data pipelines that power product insights and decision‑making across the company. You will collaborate with analysts, product managers and engineers to deliver reliable, scalable data infrastructure for both on‑chain and off‑chain data.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, clean and prepare data from databases, APIs, event‑tracking tools (e.g., PostHog) and spreadsheets.
• Design, develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using dbt, Python and GCP services.
• Manage and improve the data warehouse (BigQuery) ensuring high availability, low latency and cost‑effective queries.
• Automate workflows, monitoring and quality checks to guarantee data consistency and reliability.
• Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams to meet data ingestion and analysis needs.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar large‑scale data role.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset, self‑starter attitude and ability to work collaboratively.
• Adaptable and ownership‑driven, comfortable with fast‑changing environments.

Required skills

• Python programming for data processing.
• SQL (relational and NoSQL) and data modelling.
• ETL/ELT tools, preferably dbt.
• Data warehousing experience with BigQuery (or Snowflake, Redshift).
• Cloud platform expertise, especially Google Cloud Platform.
• Version control (Git) and CI/CD workflows for data.
• Experience with BI tools such as Metabase, Tableau and analytics platforms like PostHog.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code).
• Proficiency with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) for quick analysis.
