Senior Compliance Officer (m/f)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Compliance Officer to join our cross‑border compliance team based in Zagreb. You will act as the local compliance and AML‑authorized person for the Croatian branch, ensuring that all regulatory and internal standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Work within a multinational compliance team coordinated from Austria, focusing on Croatian matters.
• Serve as the branch’s local compliance officer and AML‑authorized representative.
• Implement and monitor legal and internal compliance frameworks, including AML/CFT, financial sanctions, FATCA/CRS, market abuse prevention and governance.
• Handle compliance inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
• Assess compliance risks, maintain audit readiness, and liaise with authorities such as HANFA.
• Participate in national and international working groups within the Raiffeisen Bank International AG Group.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in compliance, consultancy, or a financial market regulator.
• University degree in law, economics or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Familiarity with EU capital‑market regulations (UCITS‑D, AIFMD, MiFID II) is an advantage.
• Strong accountability, coordination and communication abilities.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
