Senior Accounting & Reporting Specialist

About the role

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail‑oriented Senior Accounting & Reporting Specialist to join our Finance team in Zagreb. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will own the accounting and reporting agenda for the local entity, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate month‑end and year‑end close activities, review reconciliations, accruals, provisions and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and review complex accounting entries and conduct detailed Balance Sheet reviews to identify accounting risks.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages, analyse performance variances and support cash‑flow forecasting.
• Lead the annual external audit process, maintain audit readiness, and support statutory reporting and tax compliance.
• Drive automation, standardisation and efficiency initiatives, and contribute to ERP improvement projects.
• Partner with local Operations, Commercial and Finance teams, collaborate with HQ and regional stakeholders, and guide junior team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of accounting experience in a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.
• Proven experience with month‑end and year‑end closing and leading external audits.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems.
