Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑driven Senior Accountant to join TAPI’s international finance team in Croatia. In this position you will ensure accurate bookkeeping, compliance with local tax regulations and support the financial reporting for our global operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day bookkeeping, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations and month‑end closings.
• Ensure compliance with Croatian accounting standards and tax regulations (VAT, CIT) for the legal entities.
• Prepare and process payments, expense reports and bank transactions.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting processes.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors and local authorities.
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams across regions.
• Assist with payroll‑related accounting and employee expense reimbursements.
• Handle master data for customer creation and manage budget controlling and cash‑flow.
• Monitor global collections, analyse AR trends and support bad‑debt accruals.
• Maintain SOX and internal control policies and conduct variance and profitability analyses.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a bookkeeper, accountant or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, local tax regulations and financial reporting.
• Proactive, meticulous and able to work in a fast‑paced, international environment.
• Experience collaborating with auditors, tax advisors and cross‑regional finance teams.
