Project Engineering Thermal Engineer

About the role

Vertiv Croatia is looking for a Project Engineering Thermal Engineer to join its Zagreb team. You will work closely with design, manufacturing and service groups to ensure thermal solutions are delivered on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design team to develop construction documentation (CD) sets.
• Prepare bills of quantity and specify materials for factory module assembly.
• Order installation materials and create manufacturing documentation.
• Provide engineering supervision and support during module equipping at the Rugvica factory.
• Support the service team and subcontractors with technical queries.
• Review design content for constructability and give feedback to designers.
• Work with project management, quality control, testing and construction teams to define and execute deployment strategies.
• Manage construction administration activities and coordinate with suppliers.
• Collaborate with local Liebert service and helpdesk to improve the final product.
• Handle multiple parallel projects and travel 20‑30% to sites.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (process, energy, thermotechnics, modelling or simulation).
• At least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum B2 level in English.
• Ability to work in office, factory and site environments.
• Willingness to travel 20‑30% of the time.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Windows operating system.
• MS Office suite – Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
• AutoCAD (Autodesk) – strong modelling capability.
• Basic knowledge of Revit (preferred).
