Presales Senior Thermal Engineer

About the role

Vertiv is seeking a Presales Senior Thermal Engineer to join its Zagreb team. You will work within an interdisciplinary group of experts to create concept designs for data‑center HVAC systems, supporting both traditional and AI‑driven requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design concept HVAC architectures, including Direct Expansion, chilled‑water, evaporative cooling, AHU, and ventilation systems.
• Develop liquid‑cooling solutions such as RDHx, direct‑to‑chip, and immersion cooling.
• Perform energy‑optimization calculations (PUE, DCIE, CUE, WUE) and CFD analyses.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, electrical, controls, and fire‑protection disciplines.
• Interpret RFPs and tender documents, prepare technical quotations, and propose solutions that meet customer requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5‑7 years of experience in HVAC system design and equipment sizing.
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English (minimum B2).
• Proficiency with Windows, MS Office (Excel, Word) and AutoCAD.
