About the role

The Special Hospital for Ophthalmology Svjetlost is seeking two qualified optometrists to join its modern eye‑care team in Zagreb. You will work in a professional environment, supporting ophthalmologists and providing high‑quality vision assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform optometric measurements and determine refractive errors.
• Assess visual acuity and other vision parameters.
• Participate in diagnostic procedures during ophthalmic examinations.
• Operate modern optometric and ophthalmic diagnostic equipment.
• Prepare patients for ophthalmology consultations.
• Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other medical staff.
• Advise patients on vision correction options.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Carry out additional tasks related to the optometrist role.

Required profile

• Completed education qualifying you as an optometrist.
• Precision, responsibility, and strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills and professional patient interaction.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good computer literacy.
• Basic knowledge of English is desirable.
• Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage but not mandatory.
