Network Engineer

About the role

Crossvallia provides IT infrastructure, cloud computing and security services to clients worldwide, including HAProxy Technologies, which makes the widely used software load balancer. It is looking for a Network Engineer to help expand and maintain its global network. The position is full-time and open to candidates located in Croatia and Bosnia.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in expanding and maintaining the global network
• Proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve network issues
• Improve documentation and the knowledge base of solutions
• Work regularly with ISPs, data center providers and vendors
• Collaborate with other infrastructure teams on troubleshooting and maintenance
• Take part in lifecycle upgrades, data center migrations and deployment of new POPs
• Give feedback and help develop, test and optimize the network
• Join the on-call rotation for after-hours support; evening and weekend work may be required

Required profile

• Service-minded attitude, comfortable learning new technologies, problem-solving and collaborating with other teams
• Minimum 3-5+ years of experience in a similar role
• Fluent written and spoken English
• Experience in a multi-tenant environment (ISP, data centers, service provider)
• Bonus: CCNP/CCIE or JNCIP/JNCIE certification, network automation knowledge, and experience with cloud-based networking (AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack)

Required skills

• Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and scripting
• Strong foundation in networking technologies and deep understanding of the OSI model
• Basic understanding of Juniper JunOS (MX, EX, QFX, SRX, PTX)
• Radius server management and configuration
