Lead Expert Finance Operations

About the role

As a Lead Expert in Finance Operations you will join the Financial Activities Center of a global pharmaceutical group. You will be responsible for end‑to‑end accounting, reporting and month‑end close activities across multiple legal entities.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure accruals are accurately recorded, analysed and reflected in journal entries.
• Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules for multiple entities.
• Support monthly and quarterly closing activities, including account reconciliations.
• Analyse account variances, obtain explanations and produce consolidated monthly reports.
• Maintain compliance with accounting policies, US GAAP and Sarbanes‑Oxley requirements.
• Provide documentation and explanations for internal and external audits.
• Act as the primary contact for local and global record‑to‑report queries.
• Participate in ad‑hoc finance projects and process standardisation initiatives.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, auditing or a shared‑service environment.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and Sarbanes‑Oxley internal‑control concepts.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to deadlines.
• Fluent written and spoken English; additional language is a plus.
