About the role

We are looking for a motivated Bookkeeper / Accounting Clerk to join our finance team in Zagreb. The successful candidate will handle day‑to‑day bookkeeping, VAT calculations and ensure accurate financial records in line with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Post incoming and outgoing invoices.
• Calculate and report VAT.
• Record bank statements, compensations and assignments.
• Maintain merchandise and material accounting and reconcile with the general ledger.
• Track inventory and fixed assets, performing monthly reconciliations.
• Reconcile open items and transactions with customers and suppliers.
• Prepare reports according to business needs.
• Monitor relevant legislation and implement regulatory changes.

Required profile

• Completed secondary or higher education in economics.
• High level of responsibility, motivation and systematic work approach.
• Good communication skills.
• At least one year of experience in similar accounting tasks.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with the Gath accounting program (preferred).
