Key Account Manager (m/f)

About the role

The Key Account Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with METRO's most important customers in Split, ensuring their needs are met and sales targets are achieved.

Key responsibilities

• Lead relationships with key customers across all collaboration levels.
• Develop and maintain commercial contacts to grow the partnership.
• Analyze sales data and implement action plans to meet targets.
• Coordinate with internal departments to optimise orders and ensure product availability for key accounts.
• Handle customer complaints and continuously improve service quality.
• Contribute to the development of strategies tailored to key customers’ specific needs.
• Prepare regular and ad‑hoc reports on customer turnover down to the SKU level.

Required profile

• At least a university degree.
• Minimum three years of relevant work experience.
• Familiarity with the HoReCa and/or FMCG market.
• Proficient English and daily use of MS Office, especially Excel.
• Valid B‑category driving licence.
• Strong analytical and organisational abilities.
• Relationship‑focused with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset.
