Java Senior Developer

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Java Senior Developer to join our team at Zagrebačka banka. You will work on designing, developing and maintaining enterprise‑grade Java applications that support our banking operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot, JPA, Hibernate and JDBC.
• Develop and implement REST and SOAP web services.
• Create, integrate, optimise and maintain SQL queries, procedures and functions in Oracle and IBM DB2 databases.
• Ensure code quality through best practices, unit testing and code reviews.
• Analyse code quality and reduce technical debt with SonarQube.
• Participate in CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance using Jenkins.
• Collaborate with development and business teams to define and implement technical solutions.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science or a related field (VII level of education).
• Excellent knowledge of the Java programming language.
• Proven ability to write clean, maintainable code.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Java developer.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt quickly.
