Hardware Development Engineer – Power Electronics

About the role

We are looking for a Hardware Development Engineer to join our Zagreb team, focusing on the design and development of advanced power converters using GaN, SiC and Si technologies. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to bring innovative hardware solutions from concept to production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and design power converters and control electronics based on GaN, SiC and Si technologies.
• Select, calculate and specify components and materials.
• Test hardware components, prototypes and conduct experimental measurements.
• Analyze hardware performance and create technical specifications.
• Lead electronics design reviews and validate designs.
• Collaborate with power electronics, mechanical, software and testing teams.
• Support production, users and suppliers, and assist in debugging.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on power electronics.
• Minimum three years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in English (minimum B2 level).

Required skills

• Altium Designer or similar PCB design tools.
• Signal integrity analysis.
• DSP and FPGA hardware design.
• Experience with communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, CAN.
• Simulation tools: PSIM, PLECS, LTSpice.
• Strong knowledge of power electronics and analog‑digital circuitry.
