About the role

The company is looking for a proactive Chief Accountant to lead its accounting department. You will be responsible for overseeing all general accounting functions, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, and delivering accurate financial information.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and independently manage general accounting tasks, including supplier obligations, receivables, general ledger, financial and inventory accounting.
• Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of financial and inventory records.
• Monitor legal regulations and guarantee business compliance with accounting and tax laws.
• Prepare VAT returns and perform VAT control.
• Produce monthly, yearly, and ad‑hoc financial, tax, and statistical reports.
• Coordinate with external auditors and assist in the preparation of the final accounts.
• Organise the accounting team’s workflow and allocate tasks across all accounting functions.
• Perform additional duties as directed by superiors.

Required profile

• Completed secondary school (SSS), higher secondary school (VŠS) or university degree (VSS) in accounting, finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
