Engineering Manager – Single Phase UPS

About the role

The Engineering Manager for Single‑Phase UPS leads a multidisciplinary team responsible for the design, development, and testing of Vertiv’s UPS products. Reporting to senior leadership, the manager ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest reliability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership to internal functions such as marketing, sales, application engineering, customer support, and manufacturing.
• Define, prioritize, schedule, and monitor design projects across electrical, software, mechanical, and test engineering.
• Oversee laboratory and test engineers, ensuring thorough validation of UPS systems.
• Manage the engineering budget for the group and report progress to senior leadership.
• Mentor, coach, and develop a high‑performing team of engineers and technicians.

Required profile

• 10+ years of product development or support experience for electrical products.
• Proven technical team‑management experience.
• Strong ability to organize, schedule, and coordinate cross‑functional global development teams.
• Excellent communication skills in English and ability to convey complex topics to diverse audiences.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 10% of the time.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of AC power and UPS systems.
• Experience with printed circuit board (PCB) design and development.
• Familiarity with engineering software such as Oracle, Agile, CREO, and Mentor Graphics.
• Solid background in electrical and systems engineering.
