Electrical Site Engineer – Construction Projects

About the role

STRABAG is seeking an Electrical Site Engineer to lead electrical, instrumentation and automation activities on construction projects in Stupe, Split. The role combines technical design oversight with on‑site coordination, ensuring all engineering solutions meet project standards and regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate electrical, instrumentation and automation engineering throughout the project lifecycle.
• Verify that designs comply with technical standards, project requirements and applicable regulations.
• Review and align engineering documentation, drawings and specifications.
• Manage studies performed by subcontractors and engineering partners.
• Synchronise activities across electrical, mechanical, civil and process disciplines.
• Provide technical support during procurement, subcontractor selection and execution phases.
• Assist in preparing technical specifications, tender documents and procurement packages.
• Monitor progress of electrical and automation works and support project planning.
• Participate in technical, coordination and client meetings and produce required reports.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, quality and environmental requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or a related technical field.
• Valid Category B driving licence.
• Willingness to work on construction sites.
• Professional proficiency in Croatian and English (written and spoken).
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Team‑oriented mindset with a proactive, responsible work attitude.

Required skills

• Knowledge of electrical, instrumentation and automation systems used in industrial or infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
