Electrical Design Engineer (m/f/d)

About the role

PIA Automation Croatia is looking for a motivated Electrical Design Engineer to join its Electrical Design department in Sesvetski Kraljevec. You will work on the development of power supply, control and safety circuits for special machines and industrial facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate project requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Create conceptual designs for power supply, control and safety circuits.
• Develop electrical and fluid schematics using EPLAN P8.
• Specify required hardware components and ensure they meet project needs.
• Guarantee compliance with relevant industry standards.
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with clients, suppliers and internal departments.
• Provide on‑site and in‑house support during assembly and commissioning.
• Compile all necessary project‑related technical documentation.

Required profile

• Proficiency with EPLAN or other ELCAD tools.
• Technical education in electrical engineering, control engineering or automation design (e.g., TVZ, FER, VUB).
• At least 1 year of experience in electrical design for special‑machine manufacturing or industrial facility projects, preferably in the automotive sector.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility, creativity and a solution‑oriented mindset.
• Good command of Croatian and solid English skills (German is a plus).
• Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites or other PIA subsidiaries.
• Graduates or students near the end of their studies with a basic understanding of low‑voltage electrical systems, automation and mechatronics are also welcome.
• Work‑permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
