Design HVAC Engineer (Junior to Senior)

About the role

Vertiv Croatia is looking for a Design HVAC Engineer to join its engineering team in Zagreb or Rijeka. The role involves full technical ownership of HVAC system design from concept through detailed documentation, supporting complex infrastructure projects across the EMEA region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and detailed HVAC designs, including heat‑load, ventilation calculations and CFD analysis.
• Create mechanical project documentation, detail drawings, material submittals and Bill of Materials.
• Participate in kick‑off, project team and on‑site coordination meetings.
• Provide technical support for procurement and cooperate with manufacturing, site deployment and commissioning engineers.
• Support internal testing and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with a focus on thermodynamics.
• Experience in collaborative projects and team management.
• Minimum English level B2.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to EMEA sites.
