Design Controls Engineer – Electrical Automation

About the role

We are looking for a Design Controls Engineer to lead the development of electrical and control system designs for our projects in Croatia. The role involves creating concept and detailed documentation, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting the deployment of building management systems across the EMEA region.

Key responsibilities

• Develop conceptual and detailed design documentation based on project requirements and standards.
• Create electrical project artefacts such as riser diagrams, I/O lists, functional diagrams, and material submittals.
• Participate in kick‑off, project team and on‑site coordination meetings.
• Report project status to the Lead Engineer and cooperate proactively with all team members.
• Support controls integrators and lead Controls Engineer, initiating RFIs when clarification is needed.
• Specify bill of materials, required certificates and support suppliers during the bidding phase.
• Provide technical approval for supplier offers and support subcontractors during production and assembly.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, site deployment, quality control and commissioning engineers.
• Develop installation, maintenance and testing documentation; assist in factory, on‑site or remote commissioning of BMS.
• Review and approve outsourced BMS designs and changes with the Lead Controls Engineer.

Required profile

• Electrical engineering degree (automation focus).
• English proficiency minimum B2 level.
• Willingness to travel 25‑35 % within the EMEA region.
