Civil Work Supervisor – Construction Projects

About the role

STRABAG is seeking a Civil Work Supervisor to lead civil construction activities at a wastewater treatment plant project in Split. The role involves ensuring that all civil works are executed according to design, specifications, and project schedules while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure civil works comply with drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements.
• Monitor process modifications and assess their impact on cost and schedule.
• Coordinate activities among civil, process, and subcontractor teams.
• Prepare, monitor, and follow up on work schedules to guarantee smooth execution.
• Identify, document, and follow up technical deviations and non‑conformities.
• Report civil engineering issues affecting progress, quality, or schedule to the Site Manager.
• Manage material deliveries, site logistics, and access to work areas.
• Organise lifting and hoisting operations in cooperation with site teams.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety requirements and participate in site inspections and incident reporting.
• Monitor work quality and enforce compliance with environmental and quality procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience in wastewater treatment plant construction or similar infrastructure projects is an advantage.
• Professional proficiency in Croatian and English, both written and spoken.
• Valid Category B driving licence and willingness to work on‑site.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities, with the capacity to coordinate multiple contractors and disciplines.
• Proactive, reliable, independent and responsible work attitude.
• Motivation for continuous learning and professional development.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
