Assistant Department Manager – Cash Administration

About the role

The Assistant Department Manager – Cash Administration supports the Department Manager in leading the cash team of a fashion retail store in Zagreb. The role combines team leadership, cash accounting and administrative duties to ensure smooth store operations and excellent customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Department Manager in leading the team and driving performance through close collaboration.
• Oversee cash accounting tasks, process and record daily proceeds, and assist with checkout operations when needed.
• Manage administrative onboarding processes, including access‑card distribution and coordination of security training.
• Provide administrative support to the Department Manager, maintain personnel records and prepare reports.
• Handle and resolve customer complaints to maintain a positive shopping experience.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of management experience in retail, preferably with responsibilities in store administration or financial operations.
• Organised, analytical and comfortable working with numbers.
• Strong commitment to delivering great service and creating positive customer experiences.
• Proactive, reliable and ready to take initiative.
• Fluent English; German language skills are a plus.

Required skills

• English language proficiency.
• Basic knowledge of cash handling and retail accounting processes.
