About the role

The Finance Assistant will support the financial team in controlling capital expenditures, managing cost allocations, and reporting savings for a tobacco manufacturing plant. This position works closely with engineering and corporate stakeholders to ensure accurate budgeting and cost tracking.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, report and plan capital expenditures.
• Manage reservations and cost distribution.
• Create, track and code inter‑company transactions.
• Report factory savings and support budget planning cycles.
• Analyze actual costs versus budget and maintain master data for CAPEX projects and cost centres.
• Enter quarterly data into BPC (CAPEX, savings) and collaborate with engineering on cost planning.
• Act as a BAT ambassador with official institutions and other stakeholders when required.

Required profile

• Higher education (VSS/VŠS) – preferred.
• Advanced spoken and written English.
• Analytical and organisational abilities, capable of database analysis and cost variance investigation.
• Effective time‑management and task‑prioritisation.

Required skills

• SAP (preferred).
• High‑level proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
