Accounting Expert – General Ledger & Reporting

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting Expert to join our finance team in Zagreb. You will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, ensuring data quality, and delivering accurate financial reports in line with IFRS and local standards.

Key responsibilities

• Post entries to the general ledger and verify accuracy of balance‑sheet positions.
• Prepare monthly reports for the group and ensure compliance with statutory and group reporting standards.
• Monitor and apply accounting standards, guaranteeing alignment with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Execute SOX controls in a timely and diligent manner.
• Independently handle complex general‑ledger tasks.
• Collaborate on company‑wide and international group projects.
• Coordinate with external auditors, preparing required documentation.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Auditing, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum three years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Active use of English in a professional setting.
• Self‑initiative, responsibility, strong communication and teamwork skills.
