Accountant – Zagreb

About the role

Join Glovo’s Finance team in Zagreb and take ownership of general accounting and controlling tasks. You will ensure accuracy, compliance and provide finance insights to support the Commercial team.

Key responsibilities

• Own balance‑sheet reconciliations for customers, vendors, banks and tax authorities.
• Manage treasury forecasting, analyse variances and process payments.
• Handle billing and invoicing, ensuring accuracy for customers and partners.
• Review and control accounting documentation for completeness.
• Partner with the Commercial team to deliver finance insights and operational support.
• Identify and drive process improvements, automation and workflow enhancements.
• Prepare regular and ad‑hoc AR/AP, inventory and billing reports.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing and reconciliation activities.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in Accounting, Audit or Corporate Finance, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Strong knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS, with familiarity of statutory accounting and tax compliance.
• Excellent command of English and Croatian.
• Self‑driven, organized and deadline‑oriented.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems (Wand/Business Central is a plus).
• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets skills, comfortable with large data sets and reconciliations.
