Tooling Engineer - Mold and Fixture Development

About the role

Jabil is expanding its advanced manufacturing operations in Osijek, Croatia, and is looking for an experienced Tooling Engineer to lead a strategic tooling project. The engineer leads an innovative mold manufacturing project to exceed customer requirements, provides technical instruction to improve mold technology system efficiency, and helps establish world-class tooling capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and establish technical standards for mold manufacturing.
• Oversee mold design, process development and improvement to shorten development periods.
• Lead, plan and execute the project for the flagship customer, implementing new mold design technologies to meet project targets.
• Support fixture development and improvement, including analyzing, developing and improving clamping fixtures for the Auto Measuring System.
• Enhance mold quality through system development and monitoring, and support mold automation development.
• Monitor manufacturing system progress and training results, and ensure the accuracy of mold manufacturing system operation manuals.
• Plan and implement new mold design systems using external resources and set up guidelines.
• Support mold project progress and deployment to overseas sites, and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum bachelor's degree (industrial, manufacturing or electrical engineering, or related).
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Familiarity with all aspects of molding plastic and sheet metal parts.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting mold and die issues.
• Ability to read mold mechanical drawings.
• Preferred: EMS and medical device manufacturing experience.
• Fluent English.
