Technical Product Designer – Hydraulics

About the role

Jungheinrich, with over 30 years of experience in software and digital product development, is looking for a Technical Product Designer for hydraulics in Zagreb. The role covers the design and modelling of hydraulic components, modules and systems in 3D CAD, and their integration into intralogistics equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and model hydraulic components, modules and systems in 3D CAD, including technical drawings, bills of materials and additional documentation
• Dimension and specify hydraulic components such as valves, pumps, cylinders, hoses and piping systems and filters
• Coordinate with procurement, quality assurance, external suppliers and in-house production, preparing procurement-relevant documents and coordinating with production planning
• Create assembly instructions, hydraulic circuit diagrams and system documentation
• Optimise existing systems for efficiency, cost, manufacturability and serviceability
• Support prototype builds, testing and commissioning

Required profile

• Industrial or academic education as a Technical Product Designer, Technical Draftsman, Design Engineer or similar
• Practical experience as a technician or relevant professional experience is desirable
• Structured, precise working style, strong technical understanding and analytical problem-solving skills
• Team-oriented, self-initiated and fluent technical English; German is a plus

Required skills

• Solid knowledge of hydraulic fundamentals (fluid technology, components, circuit diagrams, pressure levels)
• Proficiency in common CAD systems (CATIA preferred, Siemens NX welcome)
• Understanding of materials, sealing systems and surface technologies
• Experience with PLM/PDM systems (Siemens Teamcenter) is an advantage
• Basic experience with ERP systems (SAP R/3)
