SSC General Ledger Team Lead Accountant

About the role

The SSC General Ledger Team Lead Accountant will head the EMEA Shared Service Centre General Ledger team based in Croatia. Reporting to the EMEA Record to Report Manager, you will drive transformation, continuous improvement and compliance across the finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, onboard and train qualified team members, set performance expectations and provide coaching.
• Act as the D365 Finance & Operations expert, supporting the team on system issues and testing.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities, cost‑reduction measures and service‑quality improvements.
• Lead continuous‑improvement projects such as RPA, OneStream, PowerApps/Power Automate, PowerBI dashboards, M&A integration and ERP migrations.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Oversee accurate GL processing, journal review, balance‑sheet reconciliations and monthly closing activities.
• Monitor team KPIs and report performance to senior management.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a finance or accounting team in a shared‑services environment.
• Strong knowledge of General Ledger processes and EMEA Record‑to‑Report standards.
• Ability to coach, develop and motivate team members.
• Excellent analytical mindset with a focus on process optimisation.
