Software Quality Engineer – CI/CD & Test Automation

About the role

We are looking for a Software Quality Engineer who will drive continuous improvement of our CI/CD pipelines, build and release processes, and automated testing strategies. The role supports our industrial SCADA product for the water and energy sectors, ensuring reliable, customer‑ready software deliveries.

Key responsibilities

• Improve CI/CD, build and release processes to guarantee reproducible, high‑quality software releases.
• Design and implement automated testing (unit, UI, regression) and maintain test‑and‑staging environments for Windows‑based installer delivery.
• Define best practices, keep technical documentation up‑to‑date, and facilitate knowledge transfer within the development team.
• Evaluate and deploy Docker‑based solutions for development and staging environments.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a comparable technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in software development, CI/CD, build engineering or test automation.
• Strong English communication skills; German at B2 level minimum (C1 preferred).

Required skills

• CI/CD pipeline design and maintenance.
• Automated testing frameworks for unit, UI and regression tests.
• Version control systems (Git, Bitbucket).
• Docker containerisation; Linux‑based test environments (advantage).
• Object‑oriented programming (C++, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript).
• Windows environment for installer‑based software delivery.
