About the role

We are looking for a motivated pastry chef to join the culinary team at Hotel Miramar in Opatija. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing a wide range of desserts and pastries according to established recipes and the directions of the head chef.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare all types of pastries and desserts following recipes and supervisor instructions.
• Ensure the quality and correctness of all ingredients.
• Sort and store ingredients and finished products in designated areas.
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness of the work station and surfaces.
• Use kitchen inventory, equipment and devices responsibly and conscientiously.
• Apply occupational health and safety measures.

Required profile

• Completed pastry chef school or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum six months of experience in a similar position.
• Willingness to work as part of a team.
• Responsible, motivated and attentive to detail.

Required skills

• Pastry preparation and baking techniques.
• Food safety and hygiene practices.
• Operation of standard kitchen equipment.
