Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Zagreb team and support finance activities across Croatia and North Macedonia. You will own core finance processes, ensure accurate financial reporting, and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders in an international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support invoicing activities for Croatia and North Macedonia.
• Perform Order‑to‑Cash activities, including customer account management and reconciliation.
• Process and review supplier invoices within the Procure‑to‑Pay cycle.
• Support month‑end closing, journal entries, account reconciliations, and reporting.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies in cooperation with internal stakeholders.
• Ensure transactions are recorded in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.
• Collaborate with Finance, Procurement, Sales, Operations, and other cross‑functional teams.
• Contribute to process improvements, controls, and finance projects.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and finance processes.
• Experience working in an international or multi‑country environment.
• Practical experience with invoicing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and month‑end activities.
• Strong experience with accounting or ERP systems; SAP experience is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work with documentation and communication using the Cyrillic script.
• Fluency in English.
