Sales Representative - Food Ingredients (Istria & Kvarner)

About the role

Puratos, a global leader in bakery, patisserie and chocolate ingredients, is strengthening its sales team in Croatia. It is looking for a Sales Representative based in Rijeka and the surrounding area (Istria and Kvarner) to manage and grow a portfolio of customers, expand market presence and drive profitable growth. This is a field-based role with a high level of autonomy and direct customer interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Expand product penetration and increase the active customer base.
• Identify, develop and convert new business opportunities into sustainable revenue.
• Build and maintain long-term customer relationships to ensure loyalty and profitability.
• Sell using a value-based approach and act as a trusted advisor and brand ambassador in the territory.
• Manage customer needs, challenges and expectations proactively.
• Plan and prioritise daily sales activities and prepare monthly and annual sales plans.
• Monitor market trends, competitors and customer needs and turn them into opportunities.
• Promote products through customer visits, demonstrations, events and market activities.

Required profile

• 2-5 years of experience in a similar sales or field sales position.
• Fluent Croatian and working knowledge of English.
• Valid Category B driving licence.
• Willingness to spend most of the time in the field.
• An advantage: experience in FMCG, foodservice, food distribution, beverage or HoReCa.
