About the role

Elektroda Zagreb is looking for a motivated Maintenance Worker to join its welding‑materials production plant in Zaprešić. You will ensure the smooth operation of production equipment, perform repairs, and support continuous improvement of the manufacturing process.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out mechanical tasks on the production line and troubleshoot breakdowns during operation.
• Inspect, prepare, maintain, repair and monitor machines involved in wire and electrode manufacturing.
• Diagnose defects, disassemble and repair machine assemblies.
• Install spare parts, commission machines, and replace or repair components as needed.
• Read technical documentation, create sketches for part fabrication or repair.
• Adjust devices used for electrode production.
• Overhaul and replace reducers on wire‑drawing machines and maintain internal dust‑extraction systems.
• Maintain and upgrade existing machine cooling systems.
• Respond quickly to urgent failures to minimise production downtime.
• Report machine status to supervisors, keep service logs and suggest improvements.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in plant mechanics.
• Technical qualification in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Responsible, independent and able to meet deadlines.
• Willingness to undergo further training.
• Familiarity with hand‑held electric tools (drill, grinder, etc.).
• Knowledge of measuring instruments.
