Quality Assurance & Quality Control Engineer – Welding Engineer (IWE/EWE)

About the role

PICO FLOW CONTROLS d.o.o., a market leader in technical solutions for the oil and gas industry and in servicing and maintaining transmission and distribution systems, is looking for a Quality Assurance and Quality Control Engineer (welding engineer, male/female) in Zagreb / Novoselec. The role covers quality control and quality management across projects, manufacturing processes and technical solutions, including document review and verification of execution throughout all project phases.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and supervise the quality management system, monitor compliance with standards and internal procedures, and take part in internal and external audits
• Inspect materials, production processes and finished products, and prepare, review and approve technical and quality documentation while keeping records
• Supervise welding processes and manage welding technological documentation (WPS / WPQR)
• Monitor welded joint quality, analyse non-conformities and define corrective actions
• Support welder training and qualification and cooperate with project teams, partners and certification bodies

Required profile

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering
• IWE / EWE certification (International / European Welding Engineer)
• Passed professional engineering exam and registered with the Chamber of Engineers
• Experience applying standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 29001, HRN EN ISO 3834-2 and HRN EN 1090-2
• Strong understanding of welding requirements and quality control procedures
• Analytical thinking, precision, responsibility and clear professional communication
