About the role

Join Školska knjiga as a Bookstore Sales Associate in Zagreb. You will be the friendly face that helps customers discover the right books, textbooks, and other products from our extensive catalogue.

Key responsibilities

• Assist customers in finding books, textbooks, and other merchandise.
• Recommend authors, titles, and new releases from our program.
• Maintain the tidiness and visual appeal of the sales floor.
• Participate in launch events, seasonal campaigns, and special projects.
• Operate the cash register and support daily retail processes.
• Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering and receiving goods.
• Contribute to a welcoming environment that encourages repeat visits.

Required profile

• Completed secondary school, preferably a commercial or related programme.
• At least 2 years of experience in retail sales (preferred).
• Communicative, courteous and responsible.
• Organised and reliable in task execution.
• Interest in books, culture and education.
• Good knowledge of domestic and foreign literature.
• Ability to converse in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with retail point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and digital tools.
