About the role

The Fresh Produce Sales Associate will be responsible for the presentation, sale and customer service of fresh delicatessen items in SPAR stores across Croatia. The role combines product knowledge, inventory control and compliance with food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, display and sell fresh delicatessen products.
• Monitor stock levels and control the quantity of displayed items.
• Check prices, use‑by dates, quantities and product quality.
• Receive fresh goods from the central warehouse and direct suppliers, and operate the cash register.
• Apply HACCP regulations and maintain hygiene of work surfaces and personal appearance.
• Participate in inventory counts and provide courteous, knowledgeable service to customers.

Required profile

• Completed secondary vocational education (VKV, KV, SSS).
• Good knowledge of delicatessen and related product ranges.
• Retail experience, preferably in a similar position.
