Power Electronics Engineer (m/f)

About the role

Vertiv Croatia is looking for a Power Electronics Engineer to join its Zagreb team. You will be responsible for developing and designing advanced power converters using GaN, SiC and Si MOSFET technologies, as well as the associated control electronics.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop power converters based on GaN, SiC and Si MOSFET technologies.
• Create and validate control electronics and select appropriate components.
• Define technical specifications, test plans, and validation procedures.
• Collaborate with mechanical, software, testing and production teams.
• Participate in FMEA analyses and support hardware and test engineers.
• Conduct experimental tests and optimize designs for market requirements.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Computer Engineering with a focus on power electronics.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in power converter development.
• Independent, advanced experience with PLECS and LTSpice simulation tools.
• Ability to work with PCB development tools such as Altium or Mentor.
• Experience in UPS development is a plus.
