Middle Years Program Lead (Trailblazers)

About the role

Boundless Life offers family-friendly homes, an education program that travels with the family, and a community of families in each destination. Its Education Centres combine project-based and place-based learning. Trailblazers is its rapidly expanding Middle Years program, soon to be taught in six destinations globally, mixing project-based learning rooted in the local environment with core academics delivered online.

The Program Lead owns end-to-end program design, creating the content and the global systems needed for excellent delivery at scale, working closely with Education Centre Directors, educators and other Program Leads. The role is ideally based in one of the Boundless Life destinations in Europe; remote candidates are considered if they can work regularly during European hours. Significant and regular travel across destinations is required.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design and implementation of the Trailblazers curriculum and resources, built from the Boundless 8 competencies, and engage freelance curriculum designers as needed
• Design project-based, place-based learning experiences that use each destination as a classroom, and integrate the program with the wider Boundless Continuum
• Design the assessment approach for academic progress and social-emotional growth, use learner data to improve the program, and ensure student progress is communicated consistently to stakeholders
• Set a shared standard of excellence, align policies with WASC accreditation and country regulations, and design and deliver professional development that scales across sites
• Select and manage online education providers for core subjects, lead the rollout of new educational technology, and give input on future in-house learning tools
• Support ECDs and the Head of Education Excellence in classroom implementation, support launches in new locations, travel regularly to gather feedback and support educators, and act as the Trailblazers expert for colleagues across Education, Real Estate, Interior Design, Admissions, Sales and Marketing

Required profile

• Several years of experience designing and delivering project-based learning, and deep expertise in curriculum development
• Experience driving continuous improvement of teaching and learning at scale across multiple sites
• Experience selecting online education providers and rolling out educational technology across multiple sites
• Ideally, experience contributing to online learning tools and experience designing High School programs
• Strong understanding of Middle Years learners, academically and developmentally
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly across global destinations
