Mechanical Testing Engineer (m/f)

About the role

Yazaki Europe Limited is looking for a Mechanical Testing Engineer to join its Zagreb team. You will be responsible for preparing, executing, and documenting validation tests on low‑voltage and high‑voltage automotive components, ensuring they meet the highest quality and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare test samples and set‑up test equipment.
• Perform pre‑test checks, continuous monitoring, and maintenance of test rigs.
• Execute product validation tests according to Test Requisition (electrical, mechanical, environmental, dimensional, etc.).
• Create, review, and archive test records and reports.
• Manage Test Requisition workflow and track requests.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations throughout testing activities.
• Represent the testing department to internal customers and maintain collaborative relationships.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve testing‑related issues, proposing improvements where applicable.

Required profile

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2‑4 years of relevant experience, preferably with automotive wire‑harness systems.
• Professional proficiency in English; German is a plus.
• Team‑oriented, self‑motivated with strong communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in LabVIEW programming.
• Hands‑on experience with test equipment operation and maintenance.
• Functional understanding of automotive wire‑harness connection systems.
