Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Machine Learning Engineer to join a globally distributed team at the intersection of artificial intelligence, neuroscience, and digital finance. You will work on cutting‑edge brain‑computer interface projects, developing deep learning and generative AI systems that decode neural activity. The role offers a blend of research‑oriented challenges and practical engineering in a fast‑paced remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, train, and optimize scalable deep learning models for brain decoding and neuroscience applications.
• Collaborate with research scientists and cross‑functional teams on generative modeling and representation learning.
• Maintain and improve machine learning pipelines for high performance, scalability, and reliability on GPU‑based systems.
• Contribute to research activities, including experimentation, hypothesis testing, documentation, and conference participation.
• Ensure software engineering best practices, automation, code quality, and reproducibility.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement innovative solutions to enhance workflows and model performance.
• Support deployment and adaptation of AI models across diverse computing environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Neuroscience).
• 3+ years of professional or research experience in machine learning, deep learning, or AI engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with PyTorch.
• Solid understanding of supervised, self‑supervised, semi‑supervised, and generative deep learning techniques.
• Proven ability to design experiments, evaluate models scientifically, and draw data‑driven conclusions.
• Experience handling large or unstructured datasets and strong analytical problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills in remote, cross‑functional settings.
