Lead Scientist – Pathologist

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Scientist – Pathologist to join our Zagreb laboratory, supporting global drug discovery projects through expert tissue evaluation and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Perform independent macroscopic and microscopic tissue evaluations.
• Process and analyse data from pathological examinations.
• Prepare detailed reports describing pathological findings.
• Conduct necropsies as required.

Required profile

• Medical Doctor degree with specialization in anatomical pathology.
• Minimum three years experience as a specialist pathologist.
• PhD in biomedical sciences (advantageous).
• Proficiency in tissue processing techniques.
• Excellent analytical abilities and strong command of spoken and written English.
• Proactive, responsible, result‑oriented and able to work in multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Tissue processing techniques.
• Digital image analysis.
• Double in situ hybridization (ISH).
• Multiple immunofluorescence (IF) assays.
