IT Security Officer (m/f)

About the role

As an IT Security Officer at IHC Engineering Croatia, you will help protect the company’s global IT environment, work closely with the CISO and infrastructure teams, and translate security requirements into practical solutions. The role offers hands‑on experience with security monitoring, tool implementation and compliance with international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor daily logs and security events to detect and respond to incidents.
• Perform weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly security checks and audits.
• Implement new security tools and services to improve the organization’s security posture.
• Support the CISO in aligning practices with applicable laws and regulations.
• Lead awareness campaigns and act as the primary contact for security‑related queries.
• Assist the team during external security audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity or an IT role.
• Strong analytical mindset, willingness to learn and obtain certifications such as CISSP.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) and willingness to travel within the EU occasionally.
