About the role

The bank is looking for a senior accounting and tax specialist to manage the general ledger, handle VAT reporting and support the digital transformation of the finance department.

Key responsibilities

• Control the General Ledger and perform monthly and yearly closings, post depreciation (IFRS 16), accruals, reconciliations and cost allocations.
• Prepare and submit monthly and annual VAT returns (VAT‑S, ZP) and liaise with the Tax Administration.
• Reconcile supplier analytics, verify IOS entries, monitor pre‑payment periods and ensure the formal correctness of incoming invoices.
• Issue outgoing leasing invoices from inventory and post incoming invoices as required by the department.
• Participate in the design of new posting schemes and coordinate the annual asset inventory.
• Test the NOVA accounting platform and drive digital improvements in accounting processes.

Required profile

• VSS or master’s degree in economics (300 ECTS) or secondary school with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting and finance.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Basic proficiency in English.
• Strong understanding of legal regulations and accounting standards.
• Reliability, organization, responsibility and teamwork orientation.
