About the role

Dream Yacht Croatia is expanding its finance team and seeks a Senior Accountant to manage local accounting operations in Zagreb. The role combines day‑to‑day bookkeeping with strategic financial oversight, supporting the company’s growth in the tourism and yachting sector.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare VAT documentation, complete and submit VAT returns.
• Post and process incoming and outgoing invoices, travel orders, and mileage records.
• Reconcile customer and supplier account balances and record URA/IRA books.
• Calculate and disburse payroll.
• Maintain the general ledger and align it with analytical records.
• Manage cash‑book accounting and oversee retail operations.
• Produce reports for public disclosure, statistical analysis, and internal review.
• Assist in the preparation of year‑end accounts and periodic financial statements.
• Monitor and implement current accounting, tax, and finance legislation.
• Plan, organize, and supervise the company’s financial activities.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all financial transactions and reports.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies.
• Mentor and coordinate junior accounting staff, when present.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in a similar senior accounting position.
• Excellent spoken and written English.
• Familiarity with 4D‑WAND and Pantheon accounting software (preferred).
• Experience in the tourism or yachting industry is a plus.
• Proficient with the MS Office suite.
• Highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently.
